Papers, please

Nice try, Chattanooga Housing Authority.

The Tennessee Supreme Court got it right here. You can't just set up a roadblock and demand someone's I.D. for the hell of it. Yet. Fortunately, here in Minnesota, these types of stops (DUI roadblocks, etc.) are already illegal. Make no mistake, the "authorities" won't stop trying to force you to show I.D. in order to travel from place to place. Trains and buses are next. Just look at what this lady has been through. I wish people would put as much effort in defending the Second Amendment as much as they do the First and the Fourth Amendments. The Second Amendment is not about hunting or sport shooting, it is about when the government takes away the other 9 in the Bill of Rights.
