No, thanks

Caracas, Venezuela has decided to go the George Orwell route, and has purchased three remote-controlled airships in order to monitor its citizens, in an effort to reduce runaway crime.

Now the "authorities" can sit comfortably back and watch whatever they want, whenever they want to. Privacy? What's that?

You have to love the promotional campaign they're running down there. The airships are:

"emblazoned with government slogans. Written in bright red are the words: "We watch over you for your security.""

Chilling. But then, what are you worried about, if you have nothing to hide?

My prediction is that the bad guys immediately start using the airships for target practice.
