We're not the only ones...

... not handling issues with Muslims well. Our favorite country, England, is finding out that teachers there are deliberately not teaching subjects such as the Holocaust and the Crusades in order "to avoid offending Muslim pupils" by "upsetting students whose beliefs include Holocaust denial".

Wouldn't want to upset the poor kids with details like facts, now would we?

Apparently, these students get indoctrinated at home and at the local mosque, and the teachers are too PC to engage in a discussion with them, for fear that "Muslim pupils might express anti-Semitic and anti-Israel reactions in class".

So what? Let them, and then present the facts and teach them the truth about what happened. Maybe it might just enlighten them enough to not be recruited to be the next Joe Jihadist that blows up the London Underground.

In my opinion, once a teacher self-censors themselves on topics for fear of "offending" pupils, they become utterly useless, as their job is supposed to include instructing students how to think critically and how to interpret facts, even facts that challenge what the students have been taught in other places. That's called "learning".
