This is rich

How come most of the liberal, far-left peace and justice groups are always so full of violent tendencies and "tough talk" when they don't get their way, and especially when one doesn't agree with their viewpoints?

Some of the many examples include the Animal Liberation Front, Earth First, and a significant portion of the community over at the Democratic Underground, a gathering place for the loony left that's always a good read for connoisseurs of hate speech.

These groups, who supposedly despise guns and the 2nd Amendment, sure are quick to call for their use when it suits their ends.

Today's liberal hypocrite is a fine bloke of a blogger named Hart Williams, who writes for a site called the Democratic Daily. Mr. Williams is calling for the assassination of both Rush Limbaugh and Ted Nugent.

What is getting Mr. Williams's goat? I can't exactly make it out in Limbaugh's case, but it seems that he is most peeved by the fact that the Wall Street Journal recently printed a brilliant op-ed by Nugent, describing what really happened during the "Summer of Love" in 1967. Mr. Williams apparently is of the opinion that since Mr. Nugent is a conservative activist, hunter, and 2nd Amendment champion, then by definition he is patently unable to coordinate all ten fingers as well as his brain to produce a readable piece of literature, and that someone must have ghost-written the piece for him. Mr. Williams is an obvious judge of good writing talent, as he used to work for such quality publications as Hustler magazine.

Anyone who has ever listened to Ted's radio show in Detroit for 5 minutes, or visited his website, knows how intelligent and articulate he is, and how perfectly capable he is of putting words together in a pleasing and understandable form, contrary to Mr. Williams's claims. Methinks Williams is just jealous at the quality of the op-ed, and angry at Nugent's puncturing of the cloud of selective memories and wistful nostalgia concerning the hippies of 1967.

The Democratic Daily website is currently down, due hopefully to law enforcement investigation into Mr. Williams's threats, but I will say that he couldn't have picked a target more able to defend himself and his family than Ted Nugent. I would be awfully careful of going after a man who has used firearms for competition and hunting all of his life, as well as earning the nickname of "Motor City Madman", but that's just me.

Then how come he's issued no denial? It would seem an easy thing.

There is reading and there is reading with comprehension, and even HAD I threatened anyone -- which I did not -- I didn't threaten Nugent.

Reread the article in question until you figure that out, sir.

So you get an "F" for the reading with comprehension portion of the exam. Before you criticize writing styles, you should probably learn how to read at a more than basic level.

I might speculate that he doesn't feel the need to respond to crackpots.
