"Get that out of here, dude"

A quote from an unidentified Santa Ana, California police officer to a citizen bystander recording a video when he realizes that he's just been filmed smashing his cruiser into a suspect hard enough to deploy the airbag. The suspect had allegedly been brandishing a knife and throwing bottles at cars.

This piece of video is very interesting, as the article points out, not because the officer rams the man like a crash test dummy (A caveat: We don't know what happened before the admittedly short clip, so the officer may indeed have been justified in what he did, we'll see after the investigation), but that the officer leaves the suspect, who is supposedly armed and dangerous, alone and unhandcuffed on the ground while he goes over to accost the cameraman and demand to see the film after the cameraman refuses to leave or stop filming:

"Can I see it on the video, please"?

He seems awfully interested in being the first one to have a gander at that tape.

Video from a site called Celebrity Babylon. You take it where you find it, folks.
