He should have listed "10 Downing Street" instead

From our favorite nanny-state, England, comes this amusing tale of bureaucracy gone amok. Amusing, that is, if you don't happen to be the couple that is currently enduring it:

A criminal, sentenced to a week of house arrest with electronic monitoring, gives as his address the house of the parents of a girl friend of his, as he has already been kicked out of his own.

One small problem - the parents don't want him there, and never gave him permission to stay.

"He gave the Coles' Bristol address as his bail address but the Probation Service did not verify it."

Why even have a Probation Service, if they're not going to investigate even the most basic of details about their charges?

"The court said it was looking into the situation but police said they could not act without a court warrant."

Imbeciles. The criminal obviously lied on his form. Why doesn't this automatically void his probation agreement and send him back to the cooler? This is but one more example of how the criminals rank above the common peasant over there.

Do you think the court and police would be so unhelpful if the thug had listed Buckingham Palace as his home? I don't think so, either.

This is the socialist paradise that the likes of Hillary Clinton want to pattern our country after.
