Today seems to be pretty slow in terms of news topical to this blog, but here's a little item that caught my eye. It's something you probably won't see on the FOXMSNBCCNN yakfests, although they're always quick to trumpet Bush's dismal approval ratings (that suddenly look pretty good, comparatively speaking).
Congress's approval rating is now at 9%, according to Rasmussen. That's the lowest rating that has been recorded since the firm began tracking it.
"Just 12% of voters think Congress has passed any legislation to improve life in this country over the past six months."
We don't need narcissistic overlords deciding for us how to "improve life in this country". We need them to stay the heck out of the way and let us make our own lives better, without their constant interference and meddling.
Speaking of improving conditions in this country, Ms. Pelosi, the country is still waiting for you to unveil your "commonsense plan to help bring down skyrocketing gas prices". Anytime is fine. Don't hurry.
