Sen. Barack Obama has canceled planned visits on Friday to two military hospitals in Germany, where he was to have visited with wounded soldiers.
"'Barack Obama will not be coming to us,' a spokesperson for the US military hospital in Landstuhl announced. 'I don’t know why.'"
Jake Tapper of ABC News does. Apparently Obama's rock star appearance to his adoring German fans in Berlin combined with some fun sightseeing afterward are more important to him, and will leave him with too little time to boost the morale of the soldiers of whom he wants to be Commander in Chief:
"Obama noted that in a break from his whirlwind schedule, “we’ve got some down time tonight. What are you guys gonna do in Berlin? Huh? Huh? You guys got any big. plans? …I’ve never been to Berlin, so…I would love to tour around a little bit.”
Actions, not words, will define this man all too soon enough.
