Howard Husock, a writer for City Journal, an urban-policy magazine, has an article that masterfully explains how the Community Reinvestment Act, as championed by Jimmy Carter and really turned loose by Bill Clinton and "advocacy" groups such as ACORN, is the main culprit behind the current mess on Wall Street.
Oh, and by the way, it was published in the winter of 2000.
Read it and see if you don't shake with anger as well.
Now the same politicians who inflicted that terrible piece of legislation on us are begging for even more money to fix what they broke.
No dice.
