Presidents can't vote "present"

President-elect Obama has gone back to his habit of voting "present", it seems:

"President-elect Barack Obama is staying out of the congressional fight over bailing out the U.S. auto industry, despite his previous statements urging help for Detroit's struggling Big Three, a leading Senate Democrat said Wednesday."

He's apparently too busy staffing his "change" administration with an all-star lineup of former Clinton Administration retreads such as:

Greg Craig as his White House Attorney - Remember the days of "More rather than less, sooner rather than later" mush after Bill Clinton was literally caught with his pants down? Craig was the "quarterback" of Clinton's impeachment defense. He also shilled for communist Cuba in the Elian Gonzalez fiasco.

Eric Holder as his Attorney General - Holder was the official who signed off on the pardon of Marc Rich, an unrepentant felon convicted in absentia because he fled the country to Switzerland once he was indicted.

Rahm Emanuel as his Chief of Staff - One of the primary players behind the (fortunately) failed Clinton universal health care proposal, and a former board member of the currently foundering real-estate Ponzi scheme known as Freddie Mac.

Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State - God help us.

Obama is going to find out very soon that he can't stay on the sidelines and keep his hands clean when his desk is "where the buck stops".

UPDATE: How could I have forgotten former Senator Tom "You can't professionalize until you Federalize" Daschle as his choice for Health and Human Services secretary?
