Selective privacy

The Messiah's minions are threatening members of the media with expulsion from the coverage pool if they don't "respect the privacy of his daughters" during the First Family's vacation to elite and snooty Martha's Vineyard.

He's all about keeping his daughters out of the public eye, you see.

Except, of course, for the time he decided to publish an open letter to them, complete with obviously posed photographs, for seeming propaganda purposes in a nationally distributed magazine. Then it's perfectly OK, right?

Right?

I think you went a little to fast, This is the reason you could get kicked out....

there will be no tolerating reporters using cellphones to call or text friends with the president’s latest movements on the island. Since the Vineyard has relatively few roads - and it’s easy to figure out how Obama would travel from one venue to another - those in the press pool must agree not to telegraph where he’s going

Oh sure, that's the explicitly stated reason, but the impliction is clear - tell too many people what our family is up to and you're going to get bounced.

If it wasn't for the kids, he's such an egomaniac he'd probably have a 24/7 photo op going on.

It's easy to figure out what he's up to, but it's also hard to get there. Are we going to believe that the whole place isn't crawling with Secret Service agents hours before Dear leader shows up? Please.
