How about only being allowed to verbally criticize the government on the midway?

MSNBC host Rachel Maddow thinks that firearms are just another carnival amusement to be used to somehow frighten or thrill people ("unsettle" them, in her exact words), and then left locked up in "shooting ranges, galleries or gun clubs":

“'I like making liberals shoot guns – I just don’t think we should be allowed to bring them home,' Maddow said. 'It’s like I mean you go to the carnival you know, like the roller coasters – it’s fun. But that doesn’t mean you get one to come home with. Doesn’t mean you get to do your own home roller coaster – just leave it there, it’s a game.'”

It never ceases to amaze us how liberal journalists and commentators consider the Second Amendment to be some sort of curiosity to wonder and gawk at, and because of that viewpoint endlessly mock people for respecting and believing in its intent and purpose, but then those same "learned" elites turn right around and slobber all over the First, turning into rabid bulldogs whenever they perceive anyone in government even suggesting restricting some of their rights under that amendment (as they should for all of the amendments in the Bill of Rights, not just their favorite).

By the way, Ms. Maddow, home roller coasters are perfectly legal and are apparently quite common in this country:

These numerous examples of ordinary people enjoying their freedom to safely build and enjoy backyard rides on their own property put a serious crimp in Maddow's argument, don't they?

Rachel Maddow frequently says bizarre things. Sometimes she seems like the MSNBC version of Ann Coulter. So no surprise she would say something so stupid.

But I agree that liberals love the First Amendment while despising the Second Amendment. Their view of gun ownership is elitist. Guns are only for the rich and powerful... to heck with the peasants.

Loved the roller coaster videos. Too funny.
