Unclear on the concept

13 workers at a Pei Wei restaurant (an Asian-themed quick-service chain) in Chandler, Arizona skipped work last Saturday to attend the big rally protesting this state's new immigration law, leaving their employer high and dry on a key business day.

13 workers got canned the very next day, including one with ten years of service:

"'I can understand it because that’s their business and we were supposed to work, but come on, they have to understand us too,' said former Pei Wei employee Elizabeth Serafin"

Oh, we think your former bosses understood you and your comrades' work ethic just fine, which is why they are now your former bosses.

Ironically, these sorts of entry-level jobs are the very positions in which large numbers of illegal immigrants were previously squeezing out legal workers such as (presumably) Ms. Serafin.

Good luck explaining your publicly-declared decision at your next job interview, ma'am.

Now that's pretty funny. Almost as funny as what I saw on the news the other night. Group of people protesting outside McCain's office (i believe it was his office), and after he left for the day they were asked to leave the property. Four decided to not leave, and than they were arrest. Three turned out to be illegals.
