So that if we happen to be strolling around Denver, Colorado with a date and are accosted by the gang of feral youth there which is currently amusing themselves by bashing couples in the head with baseball bats and robbing them of their possessions, we will be able to successfully defend ourselves against their brutal assault.

That's one heck of an understatement.
Those thugs are still on the loose, Denver residents, and the cops can't be everywhere. Protect yourselves accordingly.

It would be kinda heartwarming to hear about these guys meeting somebody with something more deadly than a baseball bat. And not being able to hold a baseball bat after the proposed victim is done with them.
Noticed that they're hanging out outside bars at closing time. Colorado law prohibits cc permit holders from having a drink. The perps are wicked, but not dumb. It's like the Florida thugs targeting cars with car rental stickers for the same reason that gave us the band "Dead German Tourists."
