“'[T]he truly unforgivable mistake of the Chinese authorities was the failure to intervene on a timely basis to nip the demonstrations in the bud, rather than — as would have been both wise and efficacious — to intervene with force when all other measures had failed to restore domestic tranquility to Beijing and other major urban centers in China. In this optic, the Politburo’s response to the mob scene at Tiananmen stands as a monument to overly cautious behavior on the part of the leadership, not as an example of rash action.
I do not believe it is acceptable for any country to allow the heart of the national capital to be occupied by dissidents intent on disrupting the normal functions of government, however appealing to foreigners their propaganda may be. Such folks, whether they represent a veterans’ ‘Bonus Army’ or a ‘student uprising’ on behalf of ‘the goddess of democracy’ should expect to be displaced with dispatch from the ground they occupy.'" (Emphasis mine)
The Messiah's newly appointed National Intelligence Council chairman, one Charles Freeman, commenting on the massacre at Tiananmen Square that left more than 2,500 peaceful Chinese demonstrators lying dead in the street.
Freeman's appointment received almost no major market news coverage, according to Herb Denenberg of the Philadelphia Bulletin, and is only now beginning to generate some serious unease now that his unsavory pronouncements are starting to become widely known.
The disgusting opinions spewed by Freeman aren't the only thing giving people pause about his appointment, either:
"Mr. [U.S. Representative Mark] Kirk also notes that the tax forms for Mr. Freeman’s tax-exempt Middle East Policy Council were submitted to the IRS with a Post-It note covering the names of his donors. Mr. Freeman still has not filed his financial disclosure forms so no one knows the names of all those bankrolling his think-tank. Finally, he has not been asked if he has been paying his taxes."
Since Freeman is an Obama appointee, we have to assume that he hasn't.
Freeman also is a board member of a Chinese majority-owned oil company and the founder and head of a pro-China advocacy group, both of which represent a blatant and crippling conflict of interest in his ability to fairly decide matters.
I'm going to immediately call my legislators to protest having such a dunce represent my national security interests abroad. As Denenberg correctly notes, how are our close allies Taiwan, Japan and South Korea expected to take us seriously with such a person in charge of foreign intelligence?

Wow. I am angry. And I don't like being angry when it comes to politics (otherwise I'd be angry all the time).
But this *is* disgusting. Good choice of words. Thanks for alerting us. And yes, this has eluded the media (what a surprise).
