He's actually proud of this...

Imperial King Richard Daley of Chicago, that is. Speaking about the possibility of Chicago hosting the 2016 Olympics, Daley bragged about how many surveillance cameras the city already has, and predicted:

"By 2016, I'll make you a bet. We'll have [cameras on] almost every block."

That's something to really be proud of, Daley. Constant monitoring of every one of your peasants, all in the name of "security". George Orwell wasn't far off at all. It's very scary to think of all of one's activities being videotaped, just like they do in England. But hey, if you've got nothing to hide, what are you worried about?

Do you know what I find scary? Daley will probably still be mayor in 2016, and still lording it over his peasantry.
