Another life saved thanks to firearms

A man breaks into the Coon Rapids, Minnesota home of 73-year-old Gerald Whaley at around 11:00 pm last night. The man confronts Whaley in his second-floor bedroom. Whaley, who has no phone, fires one round from a .22 caliber rifle, killing the intruder. The Anoka County Sheriff's Department believes at this time that the shooting was in self-defense, and no charges are expected to be filed against Whaley.

Tell us again, Sarah Brady and Rosie O'Donnell, how guns are "evil", and how they have no place in peoples' homes, and are never used successfully to defend law-abiding citizens from violent criminals.
