Certified Mail works - Another Woodbury police officer update

I received a reply today from the Deputy Public Safety Director for the City of Woodbury, concerning my last two requests for information in the Woodbury police officer negligent discharge case. He reports that the case still has not reached "final disposition", and that he will retain my request until said disposition has been reached, and then he will "consider my request at that time". How big of him, since it will be public information that he is required to release.

We will keep watching, and report more news as we get it.

In other updates, yesterday I mailed 2 compliment letters:

- One to the Mayor and City Council of St. Cloud, praising the efficiency, helpfulness and professionalism of both the St. Cloud Police Department and the St. Cloud City Attorney's Office. They have responded to my Data Practices Requests with stunning speed and accuracy.

-One to the Chief of Police of the Eagan Police Department, praising Sergeant S. Grimm, who I talked to in the aftermath of my failed attempt to call in an impaired driver. I found Sergeant Grimm to be very friendly and helpful, sympathetic to my concerns, and wise in his suggestions and advice. I am proud to live in the community that he serves.
