A "concerned parent" in Sherman, Oklahoma called KTEN, a local television station, letting them know about an important issue that should be investigated right away. The issue was so vital that the station actually dispatched a reporter to get to the bottom of the situation.
The local Chuck E. Cheese has applied for an alcohol permit.
Quick, all soccer moms, panic!! A restaurant that serves adults as well as kids has applied for a liquor license, just like seventy percent of all Chuck E. Cheeses across the country!
Personally, I can see where parents forced to spend 2 or 3 hours in that place could use a beer or two.
From the article:
"This leaves many parents wondering why you have to drink when you take your kids to a place which calls itself a magical place for family fun."
Because you want to? Because it's legal? You'd think they were pouring drinks down the little rugrats' throats, based on the horrified comments from these ninny parents.
If you don't like the restaurant's policies, then don't go there, or write the corporate office. Why is this on the news?
And the nanny state marches on.
