Most people have now heard about the "flying imams" who were apparently trying to cause trouble at the Minneapolis-St.Paul International Airport last November 20. They prayed loudly and conspicuously in a group at the gate, repeatedly moved their seats to ones not assigned to them in a "tactical" manner (2 in the front, 2 in the middle, 2 in the rear) after boarding, bashed America and President Bush in Arabic (a passenger overheard them), and asked for seat belt extenders that they didn't need or use, putting them under the seat in an apparent attempt to secret them as a weapon.
Now these guys are suing U.S. Airways for discrimination, as well as the PASSENGERS who reported their suspicious behavior.
I've got news for you, Mr. Imams:
If I'm on the plane when you pull your shenanigans the next time, I'm reporting you. If you pull them once the plane takes off and there is no marshal on board, I will do whatever it takes to protect myself and my family. Get it?
A lot of people don't realize that President Bush had already given the order to shoot United Airlines Flight 93 out of the sky when those brave passengers tried to take back control, and ended up crashing it in Pennsylvania. I have no doubt that if a similar situation happens in the future, that the "authorities" will launch a Sidewinder missile first, and then ask questions later. If I genuinely believe that a terrorist group is trying to take over a plane that I'm on, I will do everything in my power to neutralize them, and sort things out later.
I just thought you'd want to know that millions of people think just like me, Mr. Imams. Something to remember the next time you cook up a similar plot. Go file your lawsuit, for all the good it'll do you.
