There's no such thing...

...as an accidental discharge of a firearm. Someone has to pull that trigger. Now that we have that out of the way, two Secret Service officers were injured as the result of a NEGLIGENT discharge of a firearm today. The firearm was discharged at a security post inside the White House grounds. Of course, the entire area was closed to pedestrian traffic, as it was somehow their fault that the officers screwed up.

This is yet another reminder that only law enforcement officers are "professional" enough to carry guns. The unarmed populace of D.C. would probably go around having "accidental" discharges if they were allowed to exercise their right to self-protection. Actually, that statement is incorrect. Only the law-abiding citizens of Washington are disarmed. The criminals there have all of the weapons they want, as they don't pay the slightest attention to laws.
