No, no, no

This website is reporting that Congress is working, under the direction of Teddy "Chappaquiddick" Kennedy, on a bipartisan proposal that would not only grant all illegal aliens currently in the country blanket amnesty, but would also allow their spouses, children, and parents to come to the U. S. as well.

Unbelievable.

From the above site:

"One section of the proposal grants these “Z” non-immigrants four-year visas for an indefinite period of time. These visas would be given to people not currently in the United States if they are related to a current illegal worker."

So we're rewarding people who break the law by giving their entire families visas "for an indefinite period of time". That usually means permanently. So why are they nominally for four years? Window dressing?

And how many people are we talking about, anyway? Two sets of parents, a spouse, and three to four children on average = up to 10 people able to come here for each illegal alien. Mexico won't have anyone left! I'm not picking on Mexico, either, it's just that they have the most illegals here, and have the most access to our country, as seen by the fact that 10% of their population is already here. The New York Sun had an interesting article recently on Irish illegal immigrants. They're just as guilty, and should be deported as well, along with any other groups of illegals.

By the way, for those that think we're too hard on Mexican immigrants - It's currently a felony to be in Mexico illegally. Why are we the bad guys for wanting our policies to be equal to theirs?

"Sources indicate that these aliens, along with their dependents, would be allowed to legally remain in the United States under certain conditions for an indefinite period of time, even if they chose not to pursue the so called “pathway to citizenship.” (emphasis mine.)

This makes my point yet again that most illegals don't want to be Americans. They want to be (insert country here) residents living and working here, but not assimilating and becoming part of the culture. They want to have "Little Mexicos" and "Little Irelands" and "Little Chinas" where they don't have to learn English, and keep living as though they were still in their home countries. They want all of the benefits, and none of the responsibilities.

I am absolutely mystified as to why politicians pander to these illegals, when poll after poll shows that American citizens, as well as people who immigrate here legally, whether of Hispanic origin or not, are against rewarding illegals with amnesty and perks such as driver's licenses. They had to wait in line and do things the right way, and they feel strongly that people who "jumped the line" shouldn't be given a free pass. Gray Davis, the former governor of California, found this out the hard way when he was recalled by voters over a bunch of issues, one main one being the issuing of driver's licenses to illegals.

If this proposal comes to pass, you will see the floodgates open like this country has never seen. The amount that illegal immigration will jump will make the 1986 amnesty seem like the good old days. That amnesty was an utter failure, and this one will be as well.
