A woman jumps off of a bridge into the Snake River in Idaho, apparently trying to kill herself. A group of canoeists manage to paddle over to try to save her, and then bring her body into shore when they are unsuccessful. The group, which includes young women, are upset and crying when they arrive.
A Twin Falls County sheriff's deputy shows up just as the canoes reach the dock. Does he offer assistance, or maybe thank the boaters for trying to help the woman?
Nope.
He writes them a bunch of $85 tickets for not having life jackets in the canoe.
There's a man who has his priorities straight.
