Hillary loves to spend your money

Today's government handout program, as proposed by Mrs. Clinton during a forum hosted by the Congressional Black Caucus, is the idea of a $5,000 bond being given to every child born in the United States. (I'm assuming that she wants the children of illegal immigrants included in this "every child" idea.)

"'I like the idea of giving every baby born in America a $5,000 account that will grow over time, so that when that young person turns 18 if they have finished high school they will be able to access it to go to college or maybe they will be able to make that downpayment on their first home,' she said."

Well, I like the idea of people getting to keep their own hard-earned money, and deciding for themselves what to spend it on, instead of being forced to contribute to a Ponzi-ish redistribution scheme. What if the child doesn't want to go to college, or wishes to rent instead of owning, or even fails to graduate high school? Do they then forfeit this grand boon? You know that won't be the case. "Oh, it's their money, let's give it to them anyhow, because they need to pay for something or other."

"The New York senator did not offer any estimate of the total cost of such a program or how she would pay for it. Approximately 4 million babies are born each year in the United States."

I know how she's going to pay for it. Millions of peasants are going to be shaken down on pain of imprisonment to finance other people's lives. 4 million times $5,000 = 20 billion dollars annually, for the foreseeable future. Figure at least that much to administrate the scheme, then add in waste, fraud and abuse as they are part of every federal government program, and you're talking about some serious cash, all taken from one person's pocket and deposited into another's, all because Her Highness feels that it's "the right thing to do".

It's interesting to see just where she made this proposal:

"The proposal was met with enthusiastic applause at an event aimed to encourage young people to excel and engage in politics."

The next generation of socialist commissars is being groomed, and they need to be taught how to rob people in broad daylight.
