Today's TASER Travesty

A new toy for the ninja-clad SWAT "operators" to play with.

Taser International has announced that they'll soon be producing a variant of their product, pictured above, that will help them make the TASER's transformation from police and personal defensive weapon to official compliance tool even easier:

The TASER XREP is a shotgun with a range of up to 98 feet, and which will be "powerful enough for crowd control".

I wonder if you or I will be able to get one, or if it will be yet another thing that's restricted to law enforcement "professionals" only?

Demonstrators at the political conventions this year, don't say I didn't warn you.
