I wish there was "zero tolerance" for stupidity

A young student is at home doing his schoolwork when his pen gives up the ghost. His father, who is in law enforcement, gives him a pen with a GLOCK logo on it that he apparently picked up somewhere as a freebie. There's not even a picture of a handgun on the pen, mind you, just the words "Glock".

The student takes the pen to school the next day, and is promptly suspended for three days under the school's "zero tolerance" policy for weapons. When the father complains, the weenie vice principal responds that "the Glock name was commonly known to be a firearm and therefore it technically was in violation" of the policy that doesn't even allow images of firearms in school, which begs the question of just how the kids are learning about the Revolution and the Civil War without visuals in history books.

I guess my very good friend with the last name of Winchester better not send her kids to that school, as they would "technically" be in violation, and would be sent home on their very first day.

Fortunately, after the father takes his lawyer for a sit-down with the superintendent, the ridiculous suspension is rescinded, and the students is allowed back in class, complete with pen.

'"I returned the Glock pen to my son to use until it dies. At which point the pen becomes inoperable, I will be giving him another Glock pen. As far as I am concerned, he can use Glock pens forever...,' the father wrote."

Excellent.
