Where's the teeth?

George and Alice Wass of London, England, are the lucky winners of the equivalent of 10 million U.S. dollars in a recent national lottery (Another scam, but that's a different topic). The world is now their oyster, and they are able to afford anything their hearts desire. What's at the top of their list?

A set of false teeth for each of them, as well as new sets of eyeglasses.

You see, they have been living on soft foods for decades, having been unable to afford dentures.

"Alice, 61, added: 'We live on soup. It would be nice to eat something else for a change. We’ll probably get new glasses too.'"

But wait just a darn minute. England has the National Health Service, which guarantees "free" health care, including optometry and dental services, to all residents in the country, regardless of income. How come the Wasses, then, have been unable to procure these very necessary items before having the means to spend their own recently acquired money on them? The article doesn't enlighten us, but the issue is definitely something to point out to the soft-headed liberals in Congress as well as to the current Democratic Presidential candidates, all of whom wish to duplicate Britain's failed socialized medicine program in this country.

To paraphrase Clara Peller in the old Wendy's ads, where's the teeth?
