Going strictly by the numbers, you'd actually be safer touring Baghdad or Tikrit, seeing as how twice as many people were shot and killed this summer in King-Emperor-Mayor for Life Richard Daley's "gun-free" paradise than soldiers were in all of Iraq.
That's not counting the 245 people who were shot and wounded in the fair city over the same time span.
Still no need for handgun carry for the law-abiding peasants there, though. Nope, no need at all. Move along, citizen. Pay no attention to that newspaper article. These aren't the droids you're looking for.
