Modern-day shunning

Louisa Tuck, a cafeteria and playground aide at an elementary school in New Jersey as well as a YMCA employee, has come under fire from some parents and teachers there who don't want her around their precious little snowflakes.

Why? Because Tuck used to be a porn star, performing under the name "Crystal Gunns".

She apparently is a good person and model employee who had passed a background check (because starring in adult movies is LEGAL, after all), but all of that apparently isn't good enough for the school and some of the parents, who seem to think that her former career disqualifies her from cleaning up after the kids as well as watching them during recess:

"'I understand it's her personal life, but I don't feel someone with that background should be working with young children at all,' said preschool teacher Maria Martin."

Then you don't understand that Ms. Tuck's past "personal life" is just that, and has absolutely no bearing on her ability to do her current job, Ms. Martin. How could her previously making dirty movies with other consenting adults have any possible bearing on what she does for a living now? It's not like the kids are going to see any of her films in health class.

"[School officials] wanted to take action, but lawyers advised them not to. Tuck hadn't done anything illegal."

Smart lawyers. That's one heck of an unlawful dismissal suit just waiting for an attorney to hit right out of the park.

By the way, Ms. Martin:

I wonder what embarrassing skeletons are in your closet that you doesn't want exposed and held against your career now? A little drug use in college, perhaps, or maybe some freaky sexual experimentation in high school?

See how it feels, ma'am?
