We recently decided to acquire a pocket holster for our Magnum Research Micro Desert Eagle .380 handgun, but rapidly found out that there aren't a lot of selections for that model as of yet.
Fortunately for us, a little Internet digging found Jim Surrusco at Hidden Holsters. Jim is a retired police officer who has a business specializing in custom pocket holsters, and his site features a selection that covers most of the various smaller backup semiautos available, especially the ones that currently lack a wide selection of holsters from the larger leather companies.
We contacted Jim regarding a left-handed front pocket holster for the MDE, a configuration that wasn't listed on his site. He immediately responded back to us by email and stated that he could indeed accommodate us, but that he was currently running about an 8-week backlog. We were fine with that, as most custom holster companies seem to be in roughly the same situation (mostly due to the phenomenally large number of handgun sales lately), and ordered one in black leather, lined and stitched.
Our holster arrived this week, and is a masterpiece of quality construction. The pistol (an odd size compared to most of its brethren) fits perfectly with the trigger covered, and the draw is just about optimum, neither too tight nor too loose.
We are very satisfied with Jim's handiwork, and are happy to recommend him to others seeking a similar product. Based on our experience, people who order from him will appreciate his great workmanship and excellent customer service. We have no financial interest with or personal ties to Jim, but are merely very satisfied customers of his who will definitely order more products from him in the future.
