That's one heck of a "stimulus" grant

Well, the so-called "stimulus" package is helping out at least one company, specifically Clougherty Packing LLC of 3049 E. Vernon Avenue in Los Angeles, California. Here's what your confiscated hard-earned tax dollars are being used to purchase, taken straight from recovery.gov, the website that tracks the spending that's supposed to be restoring our economy to sanity (click on the pic to enlarge):

That's right - our wise and wonderful government paid this firm over $500,000 a pound for a two-pound frozen sliced ham. Is it made from a gold-plated pig?

With responsible, carefully targeted "shovel-ready" spending such as this, our current economic woes will obviously soon be a thing of the past.

We just can't wait until the Feds begin rooting out the rampant waste, fraud and abuse in the health-care system!
