Quick, Britons - better buy one of these quick before they get banned as well

An American company (naturally) is marketing a reinforced umbrella in the U.K. that they claim is as equally effective against muggers as it is the elements:

"A spokesman for Real Self-Defence, based in Vermont, USA, said the umbrella was a vital tool for staying protected on the streets.

He said: ''Our Unbreakable Umbrella has no unusual parts, no more metal than an average umbrella, it does not arouse suspicion, can be carried legally everywhere where any weapons are prohibited.'" (Emphasis mine)

Of course, now that the product has gotten some publicity, it's only a matter of time before the "authorities" over there ban its sale and possession, as those martinets prefer their peasants to be completely defenseless against the two-legged vermin that are running wild over there.
