The evidence continues to mount

A portion of a comment that someone left on my friend Joel Rosenberg's Minnesota Carry Permit LiveJournal:

"Beard should be locked up. I was actually there when this happened, Beard's car hit my building and he collapsed in the street right by me. My manager and I talked to him before the ambulance and police arrived.
When word started to get around that he was actually a cop, I didn't believe it. He played the "thug" part WAY too well and was acting like an idiot. I talked to a ton of people that day, and though a lot of gossip needed to get filtered out, it sure seemed pretty clear that Beard was in the wrong and that Treptow acted appropriately."

How many eyewitnesses to Officer Landen Beard's alleged criminal behavior is it going to take before Beard is held accountable for his actions, and for Scott Treptow to be freed from facing jail time for defending himself and his family from this out-of-control cop?

Many, many more than it would take for the "authorities" to charge you or I for acting in a similar fashion, it's dishearteningly beginning to seem.

In other Landen Beard news, there have been rumors from a number of Net sources that the good officer is up for a job with Federal law enforcement in some capacity. The Feds must be coming up short of their quota.

Not racial quota, mind you. Thug quota.
