An illegal immigrant who had been previously deported after being convicted of felony indecency with a minor has now also been found guilty of capital murder for killing a Texas police officer during a routine traffic stop. In a small victory for justice, the business owner who had employed Juan Leonardo Quintero-Perez both before and after he had been bounced out of here for diddling a child has himself been hit with charges for harboring Perez and apparently facilitating his return to the U.S.
A 37-year-old suspected illegal immigrant, Guadalupe Gutierrez-Juarez, is in jail in Idaho on rape charges after a 10-year-old girl apparently gave birth to his child last month.
An illegal immigrant in Salinas, California, Juan Ramirez Flores, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for kidnapping and impregnating his landlord's 12-year-old daughter.
These stories are all from just this week. I don't know if these types of cases result from many individually deviant people acting similarly, or if the reason is that cultural norms in some other countries condone or at least look the other way from these types of behaviors, but don't tell me that we don't have a problem with illegal aliens preying on young people in this country.
So where, pray tell, are all of the children's organizations who should be agitating for better border controls, in order to reduce these types of cases? They seem to be too busy arguing that illegal immigrants who have children once they arrive here should be allowed to stay forever and become citizens, rewarding breaking the law in order to spare the poor kids the "trauma" of being returned along with their parents to their rightful home once they are caught.
Someone should ask famed children's advocate and Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton about this issue during her next campaign appearance.
