Don't worry, it's only taxpayer money. There's always more where that came from

The new U.S. Capitol cattle pen Visitor Center is finally set to open on December 2, three full years late and 360 million dollars over budget.

Has there ever been a Federal building project that didn't cost far more than it should? If there is, I've never heard of it.

To me, this center only symbolizes that there's yet another "public" building that the public can't access without being on a special "tour", or by permission from the overlords. The lawmakers don't have time to meet with the voters and hear their grievances, you see. They're too busy spending their constituents' money on boondoggles such as this Visitor Center.
