Take your pill and get back in line, troublemaker

Do you often question authority and happen to like thinking for yourself?  Then you just may be mentally ill, according to the latest addition to the DSM-IV, which catalogs such disorders:

"The manual identifies a new mental illness called “oppositional defiant disorder” or ODD.  Defined as an “ongoing pattern of disobedient, hostile and defiant behavior,” symptoms include questioning authority, negativity, defiance, argumentativeness, and being easily annoyed."

On a positive note, being so diagnosed would seemingly entitle one to all of the myriad protections afforded under the Americans with Disabilities Act, so any such labeled curmudgeons at least have that going for them.

I'm hoping that the treatment for this disorder, which I appear to have, is a mug of nut brown ale.....

OK, seriously, evidently our society is one in which a refusal to go along with whatever nonsense society dishes up is mental illness. Sigh.

Typical Soviet tactic. Brand those fighting for freedom as nutjobs to justify abusing and killing them.
